YJA 2012, iJain: Evolution of a Mind As the theme conveys, the convention will inspire youth to understand life experiences through the lens of Jainism. The participants will leave the convention ready to impact the world as an active iJain. By interacting with attendees of all ages, youth will learn how Jainism is a source of support at each phase from the teenage social network to a young graduate’s career.
The attendees have the opportunity to connect, to learn, and to share their thoughts with one another on a variety of subjects. Sessions, speakers, and new friends will all come together to complete the Evolution of a Mind. Through a variety of fun, innovative, and interactive programming experiences, attendees will engage in wide-ranging activities and sessions related to atma (the soul), developing leadership, and creating a better community.
Daytime Programming
Welcome to Daytime Programming at the Young Jains of America (YJA) 2012 Convention! This
convention will connect nearly 700 youth from across the globe! Highlighting the daytime sessions will
be inspirational speakers, who keep Jainism and its values alive in the hearts and minds of youth. In addition, this year we will have unprecedented participation from Pathshala groups from California to Massachusetts. Are you ready for a weekend of jumping, singing, dancing and ground shaking events that will blow
you out of this world? This year we will be bringing that spicy mirchi masala with a dash of the latino
salsa flavors with a pinch of the magic. Great ready for a weekend full of fun and excitement as we
are bringing a twist to tradition. Don't forget to pack your Indian outfits, formal wear, and OF COURSE

Jain Networking Forum (JNF)
Jain Networking Forum 2012 ("JNF") is designed for Jains between the ages of 21-29 and has the goal of fostering professional and relationship development. JNF 2012 will provide attendees the opportunity to meet similar minded individuals through interactive sessions and unique social events, while creating lasting connections with individuals that are successful in a variety of careers. Additionally, the social events will allow attendees to mix and mingle and have an unforgettable experience. Click here to learn more!
